Retrofit Technology has been replacing central plant equipment in Southern California commercial buildings since 1989. We are hiring mechanical, electrical, and service people who want to do the hard version of this job.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT

Four things that are actually different here.

NO RESIDENTIAL. NO NEW CONSTRUCTION

You will not spend your career changing out condensers in tract homes or hanging duct in an empty shell. Every job is commercial equipment in a real building with real constraints.

A FAMILY COMPANY WITH A NATIONAL BACKSTOP

Founded in 1989 by Tony Grano. Still run by his family. Since 2023 we have been part of Kelso Industries — the benefits and stability of a national company, without the part where nobody knows your name.

ALL THREE TRADES IN-HOUSE

We hold B, C-20, and C-10 licenses and self-perform mechanical, electrical, welding, and rigging. There is more to learn here than at a shop that subs out half the work.

GROWING, AND NOT QUIETLY

We are adding people, equipment, and a larger facility. Foreman and lead positions are being created, not just backfilled.

HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN (COMMERCIAL)

Full-time · Bloomington, CA

Service and repair on chillers, towers, boilers, and air handling equipment across Southern California. EPA 608 required.

PIPE WELDER (STICK)

Full-time · Bloomington, CA

Shop and field welding on chilled water, condenser water, and hot water piping.

01 HELPER / APPRENTICE

Learn the equipment and the job site. Get hands on chillers, towers, and boilers in week one, not year three.

02 MECHANIC / TECHNICIAN

Run your own tasks. Certifications supported. Specialize in service, install, welding, or electrical.

03 FOREMAN

Run a crew and a job site. Most of our foremen came up through this company.

04 SUPERINTENDENT / PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Run multiple jobs, own the schedule and the customer relationship.
